The very first ampm store opened its doors in California, USA in the late 1970’s. Today we have approximately 3,000 ampm stores on three continents processing millions of transactions annually. The ampm International franchise concept can either be stand-alone (non-petroleum) or combined with a petroleum retail facility. There are ~ 1,300 ampm stand-alone convenience stores in Japan. Most of the ~ 80 ampm sites in Mexico, ~ 620 ampm sites in Brazil and ~ 900 sites in the United States have retail petroleum facilities combined with the ampm convenience store concept.
